10 Mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails)

   Afterglow
               You need:
  • 4 parts Orange juice
  • 4 parts Pineapple juice
  • 1 part Grenadine

No, this is not inspired by INXS’ song with JD Fortune on vocals but you will surely be fortunate to have a taste of Afterglow by building all ingredients in a tall glass. Add ice and serve to friends in a party. Indeed, this non-alcoholic drink will make you the star of your party. It is not just easy to mix; it’s also light in calories and definitely easy on the
budget.





              You need:                                                   Atomic Cat
  • 4 oz. Orange juice
  • 4 oz. Tonic water
Experience an atomic flavor by preparing Atomic Cat Mocktail. This drink will surely scratch you down to the throat minus the kick of alcohol. All you have to do is build 4 oz. Orange juice and 4 oz. Tonic water in a cocktail shaker and mix it very well. Strain the mixture over a chilled highball glass and the party is on.



                            
            Morning Star                                              You need:
  • 1 tsp. Honey
  • 1 tsp. Sugar
  • 3 Pineapple chunks
  • 10 Pineapple juice
  • 1 fill Mineral water
  • Vanilla stick

Be blinded by the stellar vision that the bright Morning Star Mocktail can give you. In a mixing glass, build all ingredients except the vanilla stick. Mix it well and pour over a chilled cocktail glass and finish it with a vanilla stick. Mornings will never be the same with the sweet and refreshing taste of this bright colored Morning Star Mocktail.



                                                 Hurricane
       You need:
  • 2 oz Orange juice
  • 2 oz Cranberry juice
  • 1 oz Grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz Apple juice
  • Crushed Ice
  • Orange Slice
Be blown away by the amalgam of fruit flavors of Hurricane Mocktail by simply mixing all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake it well until the fruit juices are fully infused. Pour it over a cocktail glass of your choice and add crushed ice. Finish it of with an orange slice and savor a hurricane of fruit flavors burst in your mouth.




   Virgin Mary Mocktail
                You need:
  • 4 oz Tomato juice
  • Dash of Lemon juice
  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 drops Tabasco sauce
  • Salt
  • Celery stalk for garnish
  • Pickle garnish for garnish (optional)

This is obviously a non-intoxicating drink that can be served to friends if you want a hangover-free escapade. Indeed, the name speaks for itself. This virgin drink is a lighter and non-alcoholic variation of the Bloody Mary. Taste is virgin goodness by simply mixing all the ingredients in a highball glass. Use a stirrer and mix it thoroughly, garnish with a stalk of celery and pickles for garnish, taste and say “Hail Virgin Mary— the mocktail”!



                                                            Shirley Temple
        You need:
  • 4 oz Ginger ale/Lemon-lime Soda
  • 1/2 oz Grenadine syrup
  • Twist of lemon peel
  • Thin slice of orange
  • 2 or 3 ice cubes
For those of you who don’t know, Shirley Temple is a famous actress who started her career at a very young age. She is famous for her role as Sara Crewe in the movie A Little Princess back in the late 1930’s. I am not also familiar with Shirley Temple but I as I look into her old photos, she exuded an innocent aura. No wonder why this sweet and non-alcoholic drink is named after her. So how we can taste Shirley Temple’s sweetness? It is easy. You just have to mix all ingredients in a tall glass and garnish with a slice of orange, maraschino cherry and add ice cubes.




   Baby Orange Fizz Mocktail
 You need:
  • 5 oz. Orange juice
  • 1 oz. Sweet and sour
  • Soda water
  • Raspberries
Who says that mocktails can’t be fizzy? Well, you are totally wrong. Indeed, there is also a science behind virgin drinks and you can try it by coupling 5 oz. Orange juice, 1 oz. Sweet and Sour and Soda water in a highball glass and your Baby Orange Fizz is conceived. Lastly, drop a raspberry fruit or two and indulge.





                                                                         Piña Colada
                   You need:
  • 6 oz Fresh Pineapple juice
  • 2 oz Coconut cream
  • 1 cup Ice (crushed)

Get a load of Spanish goodness by taking your Piña Colada to the next level. Take the light rum out and leave 6 oz fresh pineapple juice, 2 oz coconut cream and 1 cup crushed ice on a cocktail glass. Mix it well and top it off with a slice of fresh pineapple. Use a uniquely shaped straw to sip its creamy goodnes.






               Mojito
                   You need:
  • 1 1/2 oz Club soda
  • 3 fresh Mint sprigs
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 3 tbsp fresh Lemon juice

Delight into the minty taste of Cuba minus the kick of the white rum by simply muddling the sugar, mint leaves and a little club soda into a highball glass. Add the 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 1/2 oz Club soda and drop lime wedges, 3 dashes Angostura bitters and ice cubes. Mix your non-alcoholic Mojito using a customized stirrer and garnish with mint sprigs. Indeed, you have the heaven called Havana in those simple steps.







                                                                  Mai Tai
                   You need:
  • 1/2 oz Fresh Orange Juice
  • 1/2 oz Almond Syrup
  • 1/2 oz fresh Lime juice
  • 1/2 oz Sour mix
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Maraschino cherry for garnish
  • Crushed Ice
Enjoy the taste of Mai Tai without its rubase by simply mixing all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Strain the fruity mixture onto an old-fashioned glass half-filled with ice and garnish with maraschino cherry.
